Welcome to our new skilling and livelihood support programme, proudly launched in partnership with Sony Entertainment Television. This initiative is dedicated to supporting the backbone of our entertainment industry by offering free vocational training to the families of daily-wage workers.
Why This Programme Matters
Addressing Insecurity
Daily-wage workers in the film and TV industry—including junior artistes, technicians, spot boys, and production crew—often work on a project-to-project basis with limited job security.
Building Stable Futures
Historically, there have been few formal pathways to skill the dependents of these workers for stable employment.
Real Impact
This programme bridges that gap by equipping family members with vocational skills that lead to secure, long-term livelihood opportunities.
Eligibility & The Process
- Who Can Apply: This opportunity is open to eligible youth and dependent family members of registered daily-wage workers in Mumbai’s film and TV industry.
- Zero Cost: The programme is completely free of charge for all participating members and their families.
- How to Join: Interested candidates can attend a short orientation session, facilitated in collaboration with their respective unions, to learn more about the courses.
- Data Privacy: Any personal information shared with us will be used solely for programme enrolment, and we welcome the oversight of union associations throughout the process.
About the Organizers
Kherwadi Social Welfare Association (KSWA): We are a non-profit organization established in 1928 by Late Mr. B.G. Kher, the first Premier of the then Bombay Presidency.
